Our 11+ course
The 11+ is an entrance examination taken by students in early Year 6 to enrol into a Grammar school of their choice. Most 11+ exams across the UK consist of four main subjects: Maths, English, Verbal Reasoning & Non-verbal Reasoning.
The Maths and English examinations follow the Key Stage 2 curriculum, whereas the Verbal and Non-verbal subjects require extra independent practice.

Why choose us?
-
Our 11+ course programme is run by fully qualified and experienced teachers and works by initially assessing your child's areas of strength and improvement for each topic in each subject. This helps us devise a detailed and well-adapted learning plan for your child.
-
Upon beginning the course for Yr 4 and Yr 5 students, we help build a structure to strengthen key numeracy and literacy skills aligned within the KS2 national curriculum which is gradually developed considering each child's progress into more challenging concepts.
-
We hold regular assessment for learning programmes to ensure your child is able to retain learning. This can include in-class quizzes, assessment questions, educational games and collaborative group tasks with peers. This fosters both a collaborative and a healthy competitive atmosphere which can be motivating and enjoyable for our students.
-
We work closely with the examination boards' test requirements as students progress into year 5 and incorporate regular exam techniques and tips to our highly engaging and differentiated lessons: CEM, GL, CSSE and ISEB.
-
Finally, our aim is to develop our students' confidence, motivation and enthusiasm that will not only help them enjoy their hard work put into the preparation of the 11+ exam, but will also help them in their journey of learning.
