11+ Maths- Percentages of Amounts

Solving a multi-step maths problem can be challenging for students as it involves the use of multiple skills such as highlighting the key information from the question; breaking down the information into key steps and working towards the answer by using the method that best suits them. This technique helps students assess their prior knowledge and think aloud whilst solving the problem, which can be a great practice for students to feel independent in their learning.

Year 1 English - Reading

🔹In our KS1 reading lessons we work with students to help them blend sounds, pronounce and progressively read different types of story books fluently and accurately. 🔹We also use questioning to encourage students to re-tell the passage and participate in regular discussions about story concepts to link what they have read to their own life experiences. This helps our students to explore a range of characters and identify new language. 🔍⭐️
